Do I need passport size photos for Bhutan Visa?
No, it’s not required anymore for Visa. This practice is relaxed currently. Instead photo requirement is done through the Passport image. We copy image from your passport and it works if the passport copy sent is clear. In the past, visitors to Bhutan were required to produce one photo upon arrival but this is now waived for those arriving by flight into Paro. Paro airport immigration uses computer camera to capture your image when the visa is stamped on the passport. For those arriving by land from Samdrup Jongkhar, Phuentsholing or Gelephu, it is sometimes required by immigration to produce one or two photos.
In any case it is good idea to bring some extra passport size photos and carry them in your wallet. Traveling in this part of the world, there are always few surprises
