Is it ok tipping in Tibet?

Guides and Drivers are generally pleased to receive tip but it is not a riguer. Although Tibetan custom generally have some form of tipping, it is not there in most Chinese culture and hence some smaller restaurants may be surprised when you leave a tip for them.
